PhD in Human Sciences from Universidad Austral de Chile, in joint supervision with the PhD in Health Sciences program at the Universidad de Sevilla. Postgraduate certificate in Clinical Research Methodology from the Universidad de Chile. Master’s in Human Development. Midwife and Bachelor in Obstetrics and Childcare from the Universidad Austral de Chile. Post-doctoral fellowship in Gender and Health from the University of Granada and the Andalusian School of Public Health, Spain.
Faculty member at the Institute of Sexual and Reproductive Health (UACh), responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to gender, research, and communication. Alternate Director of the Higher Education Innovation Project (InES Género 220001), editor, and reviewer for scientific journals in health and social sciences. Her interdisciplinary research area focuses on the intersections between public health and gender perspective, multimodality, technologies, health discourse, and visual grammar. She has completed doctoral research stays at the University of Zaragoza, the Andalusian School of Public Health, and the Centre of Discourse Studies in Spain (2019), and at the Barcelona Public Health Agency (2024), focusing on gender, communication, and public health topics.
